Job Summary
Under general supervision, responsible for administrative management and coordination of admissions functions and reporting support. Participates in the development of strategic planning and marketing for student recruitment.
 
Job Duties
  • Assists in the recruitment and evaluation of student admissions by collaborating with academic program leaders and related departments.
  • Advises parents and potential students on the application process.
  • Reviews and evaluates admissions application documents using multiple application platforms.
  • Responds to inquiries from prospective and current applicants and admitted students to update application and matriculation status.
  • Assists in planning and coordination of student recruitment events.
  • Participates and represents schools in local and out of area recruitment fairs.
  • Maintains liaison with all organizations and individuals involved in the admissions process.
  • Supports marketing with online, print, and social media program initiatives.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and editing skills to ensure accuracy of content.
  • Effective planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals including faculty, staff and the general public.
  • Ability to take initiative and complete projects and/or assignments with little or no supervision.
  • Knowledge of admission and academic requirements.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, social media platforms, and use of general office equipment.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree is required
 
Experience

Additional Licenses and Certifications
Participation in professional organizations such as TAAHP (Texas Association of Advisors for the Health Professions) and TACRAO (Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers).
