PRN Pharmacist

Job Title: Pharmacist

Position Summary:
The Pharmacist is responsible for providing pharmacy services, including but not limited to processing non-commercial prescriptions for all Free Product Programs to patients, in accordance with Kansas Pharmacy laws. This role assists in the daily operation of the pharmacy and oversees the pharmacy technicians' daily activities. The Pharmacist also supports quality assurance and clinical monitoring activities.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities are critical and necessary to achieve the overall objective of this position:

  • Oversee dispensing of Free Products

  • Receive physician prescription orders and evaluate for appropriate dosage, potential drug interactions, and route of administration

  • Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and oversee their daily activities

  • Communicate with physician offices, patients, and call center staff

  • Provide patient counseling, education, and monitoring for prescription products and exercise good pharmacy practice

  • Assist in all pharmacy services, including quality assurance and clinical monitoring activities

  • Participate in special projects as business needs require

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD degree

  • Licensure: Must be a licensed pharmacist with the Kansas Board of Pharmacy

  • Experience: 2–4 years of Retail, Mail, or Specialty Pharmacy experience
