Position is in Office, with 1-2 days hybrid after established work history
This is a 6-month contract with potential to extend
This take-charge individual will help lead procurement activities for CAPEX project Procurement category and subcategories. The strong performer will be recognized as procurement strategy expert and will collaborate with stakeholders in manufacturing, facilities, engineering, and key suppliers in order to identify and drive total delivered cost savings, operational continuity, innovation and process improvements. Specific experience supporting plant/facility operations (e.g., EPC Lump Sum / T&M Contracts, MRO management, engineering, capital projects, maintenance, etc.) is preferred.
Role & Responsibilities for Capital Projects (CAPEX) & EPC Procurement Position
Procurement management of Capital Projects
Knowledge of EPC/EPCm project strategy
New vendor set up in GEP (S2P platform)
Vendor qualification and onboarding documentation
Maintaining approved vendor lists and profiles
Establishing an approved manufacturer list (AML).
Issuance of request for proposal (RFP Process)
Facilitate contracting strategy session (lump sum, T&M, etc.)
Coordinating pre-bid walkthroughs onsite
Managing RFI process during the bid process
Performing commercial Bid Tabulations and coordinating technical tab reviews
Monitoring vendor compliance (insurance, certifications, safety records with HSE & Avetta)
Archiving and managing procurement documentation on SLB / ChampionX system
Issuance of expression of interest
Work with SLB/Champion X Legal to get a Master Service Agreement (MSA) in place, when one is needed
Develop and issue project work orders which are part of the MSA.
Manage invoice status and report support for improving CAPEX forecasting. Source to pay process. They will provide support and visibility.
After the bid award, get the purchase requisition (PR) set up. Set up the vendor in the system.
Project and contract closeout
Develop contractor evaluations & scorecards
Experience:
Experience with Managing Capital Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of exp with (EPC) Engineer Procurement & Construction Program
Ability to use SAP, GEP, & ARIVA
Good Negotiation skills
Strong analytical skills
Good Communication with different functionality, Engineering, contractors, Plant Team, & etc.
Helpful if previous experience with Industrial Plant (chemical, refinery, manufacturing) preferred
Project Management skills
