Machinist III
CNC Programmer
Location: Skaneateles, NY
Pay Rate: $28/hr
Experience Required: 3+ years CNC programming
Summary
The CNC Programmer is responsible for programming, setting up, and adjusting CNC machinery to produce precise, high-quality components. This role requires strong machining knowledge, blueprint reading, and proficiency with CAD tools to support accurate and efficient manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities

Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to meet production and engineering specifications.

Read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

Use SolidWorks CAD to review drawings and support program creation.

Apply machining calculations to determine speed, feed, coolant flow, depth, and angle of cut.

Enter, edit, and retrieve commands within computerized machine control systems.

Follow company safety rules and maintain proper operational standards.
Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

3+ years of CNC programming experience.

Familiarity with SolidWorks CAD.

Strong ability to interpret technical documents and machining specifications.

Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry to machining calculations.
