UTHSCH XRay Technologist
X-Ray Technologist – Contract Opportunity
Location: Katy, TX & Texas Medical Center, Houston, TX
Rate: $36.50/hr
Contract Duration: 3 months
Facility: UTHSCH
We’re currently seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist for a 3-month contract role with UTHSCH, located in both Katy and the Texas Medical Center in Houston, TX.
Job Summary:
The X-Ray Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures to assist healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient care and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:

Educate and prepare patients for procedures in a calm and courteous manner

Set up equipment and exam rooms for imaging procedures

Properly position and monitor patients during exams

Submit imaging for provider review and evaluation

Ensure safety protocols are followed for both patient and equipment

Administer targeted radiation doses as required

Troubleshoot imaging equipment when necessary
Requirements:

Certification/Licensing: Current MRT license and ARRT certification

Education: Associate or technical degree from an accredited college (High School Diploma or GED required)

Experience: Previous experience in a clinical imaging setting preferred

EMR: Experience with Epic is a plus
