Safety Clerk
I. GENERAL PURPOSE
To support and drive execution of Arca Continental (AC) CCSWB Safety programs at facility level, to support Market Unit performance. Audit facilities to identify gaps in adherence to CCSWB policies, Federal, State and Local regulations, related to Safety. Through partnership with facilities and Market Unit Leadership identify actions needed to remediate issues to ensure compliance to CCSWB policies, Federal, State and Local regulations, related to Safety. Drive consistent Safety message at all levels of the organization through interaction with hourly employees up through Market Unit Leadership. Work with Risk Management, Claims Department, TPA, Outside Adjustors, Outside Counsel, etc. to provide support on an as needed basis.
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provides analytical support by collecting data from various sources to analyze safety data and statistical reports concerning accidents, trends, and solutions.
2. Managed daily Claims tracker.
3. Respond and maintain Safety Points Inbox email daily.
4. Assists safety operations with reporting analysis to identify risks and promote safety efficiencies.
5. Assists with analysis, modeling and interpretation of data in support of decision-making.
6. Coordinate investigations and reporting to produce required documentation that assist in determining accident classification, corrective action needed and/ or to provide support to the Claims Department.
7. Regulatory Support to include OSHA and DOT to provide continuous evaluation to maintain up to date data.
8. Assist Safety Manager with various projects as assigned.
III. QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education: High School Diploma preferred
B. Experience:
• Proven analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to function under pressure while handling multiple assignments with various deadlines.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills including a high level of proficiency in Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner and take the initiative until activities are complete.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and Hazardous Material management concepts and techniques and Claims management systems.
• Safety Experience or related discipline preferred
• Prior consumer products industry, manufacturing, DOT, bottling and multi-unit experience referred.
