Job Summary
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, and preparing mechanical equipment according to engineering specifications, customer requirements, and bill-of-material (BOM) documentation. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established procedures to ensure product quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies in accordance with bill-of-material (BOM) requirements
- Perform functional testing on mechanical assemblies to verify performance and quality
- Test-assemble equipment to meet customer and internal division criteria
- Operate test equipment in compliance with engineering standards and procedures
- Apply proper settings, calibrate, and maintain assembly and test tools
- Inspect completed assemblies and prepare products for shipment
- Follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and quality standards at all times
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of relevant mechanical assembly or testing experience
- Strong mechanical background with hands-on assembly skills
- Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Preferred Skills (Optional, if you choose to include)
- Experience reading mechanical drawings or schematics
- Familiarity with calibration and test equipment
- Basic troubleshooting skills
