Entry-Level Manufacturing Technician
Job Title: Entry-Level Manufacturing Technician
Location: Houston, TX
Pay Rate: $19/hr
Schedule: Rotating Shifts
Job Type: Contract (with potential for extension or conversion)
Job Summary
The Entry-Level Manufacturing Technician supports daily production operations across extrusion, tapeline, and cover line processes. This role focuses on monitoring equipment performance, assisting with machine setup, maintaining quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The technician works closely with operators and leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production while developing multi-line competency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily manufacturing operations across extrusion, tapeline, and cover line processes
- Responsible for cleaning, mopping, sweeping, emptying trash containers, cleaning shavings
- Monitor equipment performance and report issues or abnormalities
- Assist with machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers
- Maintain product quality by following established procedures and inspections
- Support continuous improvement and process efficiency initiatives
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with operators, supervisors, and leadership to meet production goals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior forklift and crane operation experience required
Work Schedule
- Rotating shifts, Monday–Friday:
- 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
- 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM
- Shifts may change from work week to work week
- Weekends may be required
