Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist (Hybrid - Long Beach, CA)
Location: Long Beach, CA 90802 (Hybrid: In-office Tuesdays & Thursdays; Remote Mon, Wed, Fri)
Hours: 8:30 AM 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
Duration: Temp to Hire Opportunity
Equipment Requirements: Dual monitors & docking station needed

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing invoices, managing check runs, and maintaining accurate AP records. This position offers a hybrid work environment, combining in-office collaboration with flexible remote days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process, input, and maintain accounts payable invoices accurately
• Ensure proper coding to correct GL accounts and accounting periods
• Research and verify incoming invoices, ensuring proper approvals and supporting documentation are in place to prevent duplicate payments
• Issue AP checks in a timely manner
• Reconcile and resolve old outstanding invoices upon request
• Process employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies
• Assist with month-end close procedures and expense allocations

Qualifications & Skills:

• 1+ years of experience in accounts payable, receivables, or related finance roles preferred
• Basic understanding of AP processes; experience with invoice processing is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies
• Ability to build positive working relationships with team members and external partners
• High School diploma or equivalent required
