HR Business Analyst / Project Support Specialist

Location: 100% Remote (ET-friendly schedule)
Interview Process: 2–3 rounds
Department: HR Project Management Office (PMO)




Position Overview

This role is a strategic, agile resource embedded within the HR PMO, supporting key HR initiatives across Technology, Analytics, and Total Rewards. The Business Systems Analyst / Project Support Specialist acts as a project “force multiplier,” providing immediate, flexible support that accelerates project delivery, enhances operational efficiency, and produces high-quality, executive-ready outputs. The environment is fast-paced, high-expectation, and requires someone who can quickly bring order to ambiguity.




Primary Responsibilities



Daily / Weekly Responsibilities

  • Project Support: Provide immediate support across multiple HR projects, including light project management tasks (tracking, scheduling, coordination, logistics).

  • Project Deliverables: Develop polished, executive-level artifacts such as presentation decks, process diagrams, functional documentation, system mock-ups, and wireframes.

  • Data Interpretation: Leverage existing HR data, dashboards, and PMO metrics to identify trends, diagnose pain points, and support recommendations. No back-end data querying required.

  • Process Optimization: Conduct process mapping, gap analysis (BSA), functional requirement gathering, and user story documentation.




Required Skills & Qualifications



Experience

  • Proven experience in Business Systems Analysis or a versatile project support role.

  • Strong background in requirements solicitation, functional documentation, executive-level presentation development, and creating system mock-ups/wireframes.

  • Ability to handle complex, ambiguous project environments with minimal direction.



Tools

  • Proficiency in presentation/visualization tools (Looker, Google Suite, or similar).

  • Practical experience using LLMs (Gemini preferred) and automation platforms.



Soft Skills

  • Highly versatile, resilient, and able to operate in ambiguity.

  • Strong communication skills—able to translate complex information for non-technical audiences.

  • Consultative style with the ability to guide stakeholders toward action.

  • Light project management capabilities.



Ideal Experience Level

  • Approximately 3–5+ years in BSA, PMO support, project analysis, or similar functions.

  • Background in fast-paced HR, Corporate PMO, or large enterprise environments is highly beneficial.
