Forklift Operator - 3rd shift

Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within a production or warehouse environment. This role supports daily operations by handling inbound and outbound product, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring equipment is operated in compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and experienced in operating material handling equipment in a fast-paced setting.

Shift:
10:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and dock loaders to move, load, and unload materials and products
• Read and interpret production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine material handling priorities
• Accurately pick, stage, and distribute materials to designated areas
• Record quantities of materials received, moved, and distributed, ensuring inventory accuracy
• Inspect equipment daily and maintain forklifts and related tools in a safe, clean, and operational condition
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns promptly
• Adhere to all safety policies, operating procedures, and company guidelines
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including cleanup and organization

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or production environment required
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
• Basic math and data entry skills for inventory tracking
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and shipping documents
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and operate equipment for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a warehouse or production environment, including varying temperatures
