Maintenance Technician

Comply with and actively support all Airgas Specialty Gases safety, health, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures.

Oversee both planned and unplanned maintenance activities at the Calgaz Cambridge facility.

Partner with the Maintenance Manager, Project Managers, and Regional Operations Director to maintain maintenance plans, schedules, and execution strategies.

Execute preventive maintenance (PM) work orders on time and to standard.

Oversee and coordinate onsite contractors and vendors performing maintenance or project-related work.

Collaborate with Supply Chain Management to source contractor and vendor services as needed.

Accurately document and track maintenance activities using the Intelex system.

Ensure compliance with all IMS/QMS guidelines and maintenance-related requirements.

Support and assist with engineering projects at the Calgaz Cambridge facility, as required.

Recommend and help implement maintenance program improvements in coordination with ASG team members.

Coordinate with plant personnel to minimize production impact during maintenance or project activities.

Support the Production Team with manufacturing of HBCs and transfill orders as needed.

Assist the Production Team by providing coverage during employee vacations or absences.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

5+ years of experience in industrial plant maintenance preferred.

Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems within a production plant environment.

Demonstrated experience maintaining and repairing pumps, vacuums, valves, piping, and compressors; cryogenic liquid pump experience preferred.

Ability to understand and comply with quality systems and report quality deficiencies.

Ability to understand and follow all safety regulations and guidelines.

Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Strong verbal communication skills in English and ability to perform basic arithmetic.

Proficient with computers and maintenance systems (Intelex, MS Word, Excel, Google tools).

Willingness and ability to travel up to approximately 50%.

PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus.
