Patient Access Specialist

Icon Information Consultants Orlando, FL (Onsite) Full-Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable individual to support our team with data entry and customer service functions. This role will primarily focus on accurate creation of accounts and cases, as well as updating information in accounts from Med Billers. You will also provide customer service support for overflow from other teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Data entry with a strong focus on accuracy

  • Create accounts and cases

  • Update information in accounts based on inputs from Med Billers

  • Provide customer service overflow support to assist other teams

  • Support in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • Strong, accurate data entry skills

  • Professional-level computer skills including:

    • Microsoft Office

    • Email

    • Web-based applications

    • Keyboarding skills

  • Previous work experience in Specialty Pharmacy or Customer Service preferred

  • Experience working with people in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations (via phone or face-to-face), involving problem-solving, decision-making, excellent judgment, and customer service skills

  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively

  • Strong work ethic and dependability

  • Ability to accept and implement feedback and coaching

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with databases or tracking systems; Salesforce CRM experience preferred

  • Background in healthcare or pharmaceutical industry environments

  • Understanding of the challenges associated with patients' medical conditions
