Position Title: Supervisor – Government Billing & Collections
Location: Onsite | 4910 Rivergrade Rd, Irwindale, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
FTE Conversion/Extension: TBD

Position Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Billing & Collections Supervisor with a strong background in government payor guidelines, specifically for professional claims billing and collections. This individual will play a key leadership role in overseeing a team of billers and collectors, ensuring timely and accurate billing and effective collections from both patients and insurance companies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in Medi-Cal, Medicare, and commercial insurance processes, and possess a deep understanding of payer regulations and EPIC systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support a team of billing and collections specialists focused on professional claims.

Oversee accurate and timely billing, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and commercial payor guidelines.

Initiate and guide resolution of delinquent accounts through outbound calls and coordination with payors.

Work directly with Medicare, Medicaid (Medi-Cal), and commercial insurance representatives to resolve issues and secure payment.

Engage patients professionally to arrange payment plans and address outstanding balances.

Ensure department goals are met and staff is well-trained and informed on current billing regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:

3+ years of hands-on experience with Medi-Cal and Medicare billing and collections.

In-depth knowledge of professional claims billing and government payor regulations.

Prior supervisory experience in a revenue cycle or billing department.

Proficiency in EPIC or similar EHR/billing systems.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
